The Pacific Northwest Trail connects the Continental Divide to the Pacific Ocean. The PNT starts in Glacier National Park and traverses Montana, Idaho, and Washington to Cape Alava in Olympic National Park. The trail is 1200 miles long and crosses three major mountain ranges, the Rockies, Cascades, and Olympics, providing views of the most scenic parts of the United States. The PNT includes a ferry crossing at Puget Sound that is officially a part of the trail. The PNT is certified as a National Scenic Trail and is administered by US Forest Service.
