The Oregon Coast Trail runs the entire length of the Oregon coastline. Official mileage is listed as 382 miles, however the entire planned route will eventually be 400 miles. Hikers who do not utilize ferry system will walk more than 420 miles. The OCT combines roughly 200 miles of beach walking, where hikers need to plan ahead and carry a tide table as some areas are only passable at low tide. The trail is mainly only for hiking, however there are some sections that are open to bicycles and equestrians.
