The Northville-Placid Trail runs 133 miles through the Adirondacks connecting hikers to a classic wilderness experience. The trail starts in Northville, NY on theedge of Great Sacandaga Lake and heads north through several wilderness areas to the village of Lake Placid. Hikers will trek through lake areas, rivers, mountain high peaks, and swamps. The trail comes within walking distance of towns with post offices making maildrops the preferred method of resupply.
