The Long Path is a 358 mile trail that starts at 175th St. subway station in New York City and travels north to Altmont, New York outside Albany. Along the way it passes through Hudson River Valley, Harriman State Park, turns on the Shawangunk Ridge, and continues north again through the Catskill Mountains. The trail is maintained by the New York/New Jersey Trail Conference and is blazed with teal markers. Few thruhikers attempt the Long Path in a single trip.
