The Ice Age Trail wonders entirely through Wisconsin from Potawatomi State Park in the east to the Interstate State Park along the St. Croix River in the west. The trail is set at about 1198 miles of which over 600 miles are currently blazed with connecting routes between. The Ice Age Trail is certified as a Wisconsin State Scenic Trail and one of the National Scenic Trails, administered by the National Park Service. Devils Lake State Park is where the trail splits into eastern and western portions, 75 miles and 92 miles respectively. The Ice Age Trail follows the moraine from the last ice age, displaying the glacial features left behind.
