The Finger Lakes Trail runs from the New York-Pennsylvania border in Allegany State Park to the Catskills Forest Preserve in the East. The main FLT is 580 miles long and connects to several branch, loop and spur trails that add 412 miles. The six branch trails include: Bristol Hills Trail, Conservation Trail, Crystal Hills Trail, Interloken Trail, Letchworth Trail, and Onondaga Trail. The Crystal Hills trail is a part of the Great Eastern Trail and the Onondaga Trail is part of the North Country Trail. The eastern terminus of the Finger Lakes Trail connects to the Long Path in the Catskills, making it possible to hike from New York City to the western part of New York State.
